The Delhi High Court has summoned responses from the Government of NCT Delhi and the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) in response to a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) alleging the denial of Right to Education (RTE) benefits to over 6 lakh students due to the absence of bank accounts. The PIL, filed by social jurists, claims that students are being deprived of statutory benefits guaranteed under RTE.
