On the first day of the UP Board Exam 2024, stringent measures were in place to deter cheating, resulting in the absence of over 3 lakh students. According to the information shared by UP Board Secretary, 2,03,299 candidates skipped the exam in the first shift while 1,30, 242 students were absent in the second shift taking the total count of absentees to 3,33,541. Despite the heightened vigilance, five students were caught attempting to cheat.
