The Odisha Sub-ordinate Staff Selection Commission has released a notification for OSSSC Recruitment 2024. The recruitment drive aims to fill 2895 vacancies for various posts including Assistant Revenue Inspector, AMIN, Revenue Inspector, Supervisor, and Statistical Field Surveyor. Online applications can be submitted from December 30, 2023, to January 31, 2024. The selection process includes a Preliminary Test, Mains Examination, and Practical Skill Test.

The WB Police Recruitment Board unveiled the Lady Constable exam schedule on wbpolice.gov.in. The announcement detailed the Final Written Examination for the 2023 recruitment, set for January 21, 2024. The Students' Federation of India (SFI) has alleged that the National Testing Agency (NTA) increased the fee for 2024 CUET-PG application forms. SFI's Delhi state committee called the fee hike a "blatant attack" on higher education opportunities. The SFI demanded a rollback of the fee hike and met with senior advisor HC Gupta. The NTA claimed that the fee increase was due to lack of funds.

On Friday, 482 post-graduate teachers officially became part of non-government-aided higher secondary schools in Odisha. The JKSET merit list 2023 has also been released.
